
About Phil
The dynamic musician Philip Daish-Handy has entertained audiences across the world. Philip first came to prominence after winning the prestigious Music at Beaulieu Competition, leading to important scholarships, performances and several recordings.




Philip is founder and Artistic Director of the Nova Foresta Philharmonic; the New Forest's only professional orchestra. With his orchestra, Philip has conducted numerous orchestral concerts, operas, and has collaborated with many choirs and choral societies throughout the UK. Notable recent performances include Elgar's Enigma Variations, Britten's 'Frank Bridge Variations' and Beethoven Symphony 7 to critical acclaim.
Since being appointed as Musical Director of the Lymington Choral Society, Philip has led this choir to memorable performances, including powerful renditions of ‘The Armed Man’ by Karl Jenkins, Mozart’s ‘Requiem’, and Handel's 'Messiah' , to standing ovations. Philip is delighted to hold additional conducting positions with two thriving chamber choirs; Choralia Milford and Voices of the Forest.
