Dynamic, passionate, and internationally acclaimed, Philip Daish-Handy has captivated audiences around the world. Born in London into a family of professional musicians, his rise to prominence began with a triumph at the prestigious Music at Beaulieu Competition, which paved the way for major scholarships, high-profile performances, and multiple recordings.
Inspired by the music of the 20th Century, Philip has a particular passion for the music of Elgar, Bridge, Britten, and Walton.



As the Founder and Artistic Director of the Nova Foresta Philharmonic, the New Forest’s only professional orchestra, Phil has led breathtaking orchestral concerts and operas, forging collaborations with renowned choirs and choral societies across the UK. His recent performances - Elgar’s Enigma Variations, Britten’s Frank Bridge Variations, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 - have earned widespread critical acclaim.

In his role as Musical Director of the Lymington Choral Society, Phil has delivered unforgettable interpretations of choral masterpieces, including Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man, Mozart’s Requiem, and Handel’s Messiah, all met with standing ovations. Additionally, he is honoured to serve as conductor for two thriving chamber choirs, Choralia Milford and Voices of the Forest, further enriching the UK’s vibrant choral scene.
