Orchestral & Choral Conductor

Phil Daish-Handy is a British conductor whose work spans orchestral and choral repertoire across the United Kingdom. Known for clarity of musical vision and compelling leadership on the podium, he brings expressive depth and structural precision to both symphonic and choral works.

Born in London into a family of professional musicians, he developed a strong connection to twentieth-century British repertoire, particularly the music of Elgar, Bridge, Britten and Walton.

His early career gained momentum following success at the prestigious Music at Beaulieu Competition, leading to scholarships, performance opportunities and recording projects.

Phil is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Nova Foresta Philharmonic, the New Forest’s professional orchestra. Under his direction the ensemble has presented symphonic concerts and operatic productions while collaborating with leading choirs and choral societies across the United Kingdom.

Alongside his orchestral work, he serves as Musical Director of the Lymington Choral Society, where he has conducted major choral repertoire including Jenkins’ The Armed Man, Mozart’s Requiem, and Handel’s Messiah.

He also conducts the chamber choirs Choralia Milford and Voices of the Forest, contributing actively to the choral life of southern England.

Phil Daish-Handy is represented by Evangelista Artists Management in Munich.
